This is a free event for girls ages 6-17 who reside in Alachua County. July 6, 2024, from 12-4 p.m., Gainesville, FL. We have 50 seats for the symposium. Contact us for application details or visit us on our social media pages.

The theme was “Let’s GLOW Girls!” which Brandi Terrell said is about “connecting girls of various beliefs, cultures and socio-economic backgrounds to build positive relationships and provide strategies to help them glow.”
“Kids glow when they look out for each other and help each other,” Brandi Terrell said.
Attended by 50 girls and teens, the program was packed full, with good advice and interactive activities, team building, music, praise, essays, food and more.

Charlene Caldwell said the program has been good for her eight-year-old granddaughter Raylin Rowe.
“I think this program is fantastic,” said Caldwell. “It motivates, educates and instills self-esteem.”
Crystal Bowman said the program provides her daughter Moria Bowman, who is homeschooled, with an excellent way to meet other children in the community and also serves as a resource network with other families.
“It definitely encourages young girls to learn not to be afraid to be a leader in the community and meet other girls,” said Bowman. -The Gainesville Sun

Attended by 42 girls and teens, the program was packed full, with good advice and interactive activities, as well as gifts, entertainment and pizza. During break-out sessions, facilitators discussed such topics as inner beauty, self-esteem, self-image, trust, leadership, setting goals, kindness and building a personal and business brand.
